About me
Hi, I’m Jessie. I officially launched this blog in early 2022, after years of trying and failing to turn my love of books into a public passion-based adventure. I’ve been a bibliophile for as long as I can remember, and that doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon.
I use He/She/They pronouns and identify as non-binary. At the heart of this blog are books, but we all deserve to see ourselves in the books we read, which is why I want to go out of my way to make sure that everyone is represented fairly here. Everyone deserves to know they’re enough.
Books mean the world to me; they were an escape when life got tough, and even now I’m grown and living my own life they help show me that there are moments in life to be cherished. They can be a warm hug on a cold winter’s day, or the push you need to allow the tears you’ve been holding back to break free.

I’m an NHS worker, dog owner, and married to my beautiful spouse (who is also non-binary).
Apart from books, I love Video games, Doctor Who, and anything creative; clay art and sewing are two of my favourites!
I have a Degree in Zoology and Animal Behaviour, and am passionate about making the world a beter place for everyone; human and non-human animal alike.
Reviews of the reviewer
‘I didn’t even know they had a blog. How do they have time for that? And when did they ask me for this quote?’
My spouse
‘They borrowed one of my Percy Jackson books over a year ago and I still haven’t got it back. I’ve lost hope.’
One of my best friends, Lauren
‘They’re great. They give me food. They also suck because they won’t give me their food. Also, they read instead of playing with me 24/7.’
